Training
iSportsTracker is all about training, so this topic is the most informative. First, you need to select activity type by tapping one of the icons:
There are 9 GPS activities and 3 manual activities available. Selecting GPS activity activates track recording and all other features when selecting manual activity allows you only to enter data such as duration, distance and calories burned as well as take some photos.
Ok, now your iPhone is determining your location. Wait until GPS indicator in the top right corner become green or at least yellow before start.
Please note, that WiFi should be turned off when using iSportsTracker in order to provide better GPS accuracy as well as better battery life. You can omit this requirement in Settings but it is not recommended. By default application will deny any GPS recording with WiFi turned on.
Next, when GPS accuracy is enough (this level of "enoughness" can be changed in Settings, by default it is 100 meters that should suite most), Main Screen is displayed. Slide to the left or right to see Graps or Map respectively.
To start training press start. Whenever you need, press pause or stop to finish training. When in paused mode iSportsTracker does not record your location, but tracks your movements on a map with dashed line. If you need to make a call or exit from iSportsTracker for a while you can just press home button - unfinished training is automatically saved and you will be allowed to resume it on next app start.
Note that whenever your speed for the last 1 minute is less than specified here (3 km/h or about 30 min/mi by default) or iPhone lost GPS signal, Training will be put into auto-pause mode. Later, if signal and speed are enough iSportsTracker will resume training automatically.
If your iPhone lost signal, try to exit from iSportsTracker and ensure that your internet connection is up and running by opening Safari. Internet connection is vital to iPhone' GPS module because of its type - A-GPS (Assisted GPS, see article in Wikipedia). Also, best practice is to use arm-band for your iPhone (for better GPS accuracy).
